In my last blog about legacy, a cornerstone, a foundation built on God's true plan I shared with you brief sippets of my past, looking at where I have been so that I can prayerfully define where God is asking me to go. A plan, a blueprint, and instructions of how we are to build-up and raise our family is key to becoming a Kingdom minded man, husband and father. Before all that can begin, it has to begin somewhere.
The foundation for mankind; Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. - Genesis 1:26 (ESV)
"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female, he created them. And God blessed them. And God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth." And God said, "Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food. And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given you every green plant for food." And it was so. Genesis 1:27-31 (ESV)
"Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.” Now out of the ground the Lord God had formed every beast of the field and every bird of the heavens and brought them to the man to see what he would call them. And whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name. The man gave names to all livestock and to the birds of the heavens and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper fit for him. So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. Then the man said, “This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.”" Genesis 2:18-23
In reading this we find that God has given us dominion over everything, from the beginning. God choose man to tender to His creation. Made in the image of God, invited into His work, for His plan. You also see that God has given this task to man and woman to help each other. Which equates to a partnership “a marriage”. Kingdom if we look at it biblically shows us that we are created by God to be Lorded over by God, but God gives us the dominion over the earth. Wow what a game changer, God gave us dominion over the “EARTH”!

Taking all of that it's become clear to me that we, as men, need to stand up and fight for our family's, our wives, and most importantly our children. Being minded to look at the big picture of living for Gods kingdom really goes against the world view and against what society deems right.
Living and teaching for Gods kingdom is a “Game Changer”! We must be rooted in the word first, having our own quiet time, learning to pray, and focusing our minds on God before all else. In that we learn to discern Gods words, His will, as well as discerning the spiritual battles in which the enemy throws at each and everyone of us everyday. Becuase, men, there is an enemy, he is real and will do anything in his power to destroy us, our wife, and our family. The enemy wants to change our game from winning to losing by using our weaknesses, our sinful nature, and our pride. The enemy wants to make us think or feel like we are losing and keep us there. However, by keeping our "family eye" on God no matter what the enemy throws at us we can't lose. Even if it means dying for the sake of the Kingdom.
I challenge you, make a change today... challenge yourself to be the game changer for your family. Step it up man, husband, dad. For the Glory of God.
